Yes. Standard UK delivery is inside every price, so the price on the page is the price at checkout. Priority delivery is optional: £4.99, chosen at checkout. The painted preview of your own car is free.

Everything is made to order. Production takes 2 to 4 working days and delivery 2 to 5, so allow 4 to 9 working days with standard delivery. Priority delivery (£4.99, chosen at checkout) takes 3 to 6 working days. Product pages and your basket show the expected dates. See delivery and returns.

From October, product pages, the Your car as art and photo print pages and your basket show the last order day for Christmas delivery, worked out from the delivery window, for standard and for Priority delivery. For your own car as art, order a few days earlier to leave time to choose a preview. A digital download is emailed once payment clears, so it can be ordered right up to Christmas Eve.

No. Every artwork in the shop is made in the spirit of an era. It is not a photograph and not licensed archive material, and no car carries a real badge or number plate.

A3 (297 x 420 mm) suits a hallway, a workbench or a gap between furniture; A2 (420 x 594 mm) holds a wall on its own above a sofa or a bed; 50 x 70 cm and 70 x 100 cm are for a wall with distance in front of it. The size guide works through all five.

One paper for every paper print: 250 gsm uncoated off-white archival stock. Canvas is stretched two centimetres deep over FSC-certified wood. Frames are wood, with a plexiglass front, not glass: black or natural wood around a framed poster, and black, dark wood or natural wood around a framed canvas.

Yes, that is Your car as art. Upload a photo of your car, pick one of nine styles (vintage racing poster, blueprint, single line, neon night drive and more) and see a free watermarked preview before ordering. When you order, we print the exact artwork you chose, without the watermark. Or print your photo as it is.

We measure your photo's pixels against each print size. Below 140 dpi a print looks soft, so we don't sell it. A 12-megapixel phone photo comfortably covers A3 and usually A2.

Yes. We use the exact artwork you select, without the watermark. Your chosen product may crop the edges as shown in its preview; a digital download contains the complete artwork.

Uploads are used only to produce your preview and your print. Unpurchased uploads are deleted automatically after 30 days. Watermarked previews are saved for 30 days. We never use your photos for anything else.

Yes. Tick 'This is a gift' in your basket and enter their name and address as the delivery address at checkout. The parcel carries no prices or receipt. No message is printed or put in the parcel, so any note you add comes back to you in the confirmation email, ready to copy into a card.

The file is emailed to you as a download link that stays live for 30 days, as soon as payment clears. In the basket you tick to ask us to send it straight away, which ends the 14-day right to cancel the download (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 37). Nothing is printed or posted.

By card through Stripe, with Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device supports them. We never see your card details.

Artworks from our shop, yes: cancel up to 14 days after delivery and send the item back unused and in its original condition. You pay the return postage and we refund the price, including standard delivery. Prints made from your own photo, as it is or as art, are made for you, so they can't be returned for a change of mind. Tell us as soon as you can at hello@petrol-and-ink.com with your order reference and a photo. We reprint or refund it at our cost. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.
